Th Stimulus Checks Given Out To Teachers
For other states, their fourth stimulus checks are taking on a new lookas teacher bonuses! Its no secret that teachers are the unsung heroes of our communities, and theyve been put through the wringer during the pandemic. To show them the appreciation that they more than deserve, some states are giving teachers a fourth stimulus.

Earlier in 2021, Michigan used a grant to pay bonuses of $500 to its teachers and $250 to school support staff. No word yet on whether theyll give out another bonus, though.17
Our very own Tennessee is giving full-time teachers $1,000 and part-time teachers $500 to thank them for their hard work.18
Now, nothing has happened statewide yet, but some districts in the Lone Star State are giving out their own bonuses. Districts are gifting things like 24% raises, a $500 bonus, and even a $2,000 incentive for some teachers to return to the classroom.19
As Of Now A Fourth Stimulus Check Is Unlikely
Recently, calls have circulated online for a fourth stimulus check to be approved, with many saying that although the payments have stopped, the pandemic clearly hasnt.
Over three million people have signed a Change.org petition calling for recurring $2,000 payments for adults and $1,000 payments for children until the pandemic ends.
But no such payment has yet been approved, IRS spokesperson Eric Smith told USA TODAY.
This isnt the first time people have posted misinformation about fourth stimulus checks. Similar posts also circulated in May and of 2021.

Fourth Stimulus Check: Will Another Another Relief Payment Come This Year
Stimulus checks have helped families during COVID, especially those that lost income. The pandemic continues, as the Delta variant pushes case numbers up among the unvaccinated in many states. But life around the country is settling into a new normal, and economic conditions are generally improving. The rising economy isnt lifting everyone, however. Some peoples finances have improved, while other peoples have not. Unemployment still exceeds pre-pandemic levels, even with jobs widely available in certain sectors. Many states have already discontinued the federal unemployment bonus. Meanwhile, the federal eviction moratorium ends this week, and millions of people are still short of food and behind on bills. As of July 15, the new Child Tax Credit is helping some families. Despite the available aid, a fourth stimulus check might better serve those still in need. Can Americans expect another payment in 2021?
That question is still part of the national discussion. Some clues might signal where things are heading.
The third round of relief payments started back in March, courtesy of the American Rescue Plan . Since then, about 169 million people have received up to $1,400 each, accounting for most of the $422 billion set aside. First Stimulus Check Payment In 2020
The $2.2 trillion dollar stimulus bill has now been signed into law. Under this bill there is the widely reported economic stimulus payment checks of $1,200 per adult and $2400 for couples. For families they would provide $500 for every eligible child. The full stimulus check would be made to those earning less than $75,000 and would phase out to zero for those earning more than $99,000 . Head of household tax filers will get the full payment if they earned $112,500 or less.
In the phase out range for every $100 you earn above the lower limit payment drops by $5 until you reach the maximum limit .
Example If Brian made $67,000 last year based on his latest filed tax return, he would get the full $1200 payment. If he had made $90,000 he would only be eligible for $450 . If he had made $110,000 he wouldnt be eligible at all.

No Economic Recovery For Others
The pandemic has further highlighted the growing imbalance across the broader economy. While many households have financially flourished during COVID, many others have fallen behind where they were in early 2020. Much of the gap depends on whether wage earners could work remotely during the shutdown or had public-facing jobs that required them to be on-site.
Financial insecurity is still widespread, and the loss of a job and the loss of hours were some of the main reasons over the course of the pandemic. Nine percent of American adults reported a shortage of food in their household over the previous week, according to a Center on Budget and Policy Priorities analysis of U.S. Census survey data from late September and early October. Approximately 16 percent of renters have fallen behind on their rent, including 23 percent of renters with children in their household. The federal eviction moratorium, which ended October 3, didn’t forgive rent that was owed, it pushed the debt into the future. And evictions continued in some parts of the country regardless. Meanwhile, only a fraction of the $46 billion Congress allocated for rental assistance has actually made it to tenants and landlords. As of late September, over a quarter of American adults reported some difficulty keeping up with expenses in the prior week.
Indiana: $325 Rebate Payments
Indiana found itself with a healthy budget surplus at the end of 2021, and it authorized two rebates to its residents.
In December 2021, Gov. Eric Holcomb announced that Indiana taxpayers would get a $125 one-time tax refund after they filed their 2021 taxes.

Hawaii: $300 Rebate Payments
In June, Hawaiis legislature approved sending a tax rebate to every taxpayer. Taxpayers earning less than $100,000 per year will receive $300, and those earning more than $100,000 per year will receive $100. Dependents are eligible for the rebate, too.
Taxpayers who filed their 2021 state income tax returns by July 31, 2022, should have received their returns in September, and those who requested paper checks should have received them by October 31. Taxpayers who filed their returns after July 31 should receive their check up to 10 weeks after their return is accepted by the tax department.

In Central Texas, Local Realtor Jeremy Fay says two years into the pandemic, most families hes helped find a home have barely stayed afloat thanks to their stimulus pay. Now, with no new stimulus checks officially coming in, families are getting concerned.
The harsh reality is that there are a lot of families still enduring hardships, he said.
A lot of these are FHA and VA buyers, these are people local in our community. These are our military service members who I try to work with all the time and try to help them qualify for housing. Its difficult because housing costs continue to rise, costs across the board are going up.
Lawmakers say the proposal for recurring $2,000 stimulus payment every month would last until the pandemic is over. However, Texas A& M Central Texas Economics Professor Rob Tennant says while a fourth stimulus check is certainly possible, recurring payments isnt economically feasible.
Theyll have more money to work with, which could potentially drive inflation further harder and higher, as well as causing more shortages, he said.

$2k Petition Nears 3m
Nearly 3 million people signed a petition asking for lawmakers to push for a $2000/month to every American distribution.
The petition puts the problem squarely on how the country hasnt met the needs.
It reads: “the recovery hasn’t reached many Americans” and calls out the need for recurring payments so that “we can keep our heads above water.”
In June, President Joe Biden would only say that he was “open to a range of ideas” for a fourth stimulus round.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki steered the focus for his administration on not supplying Americans with more cash but getting citizens back to work.
“But hes also proposed what he thinks is going to be the most effective for the short term, for putting people back to work, to getting through this pivotal period of time, and also making us more competitive over the long term, she said.
