Who Is Eligible For The $350 Stimulus Checks In Ohio
According to Whaley, individuals making up to $80,000 a year or couples making $160,000 a year or under would be eligible to receive the rebate, worth $350 or $700, respectively.
Ohio is set to receive $2.68 billion in the next round of federal funding via the American Rescue Plan, with Whaley playing a key role in lobbying for state and local funding to be included in the American Rescue Plan.
The rebate would go to roughly 7.4 million residents in Ohio, the same individuals who also received economic impact payments, with the number accounting for 89 percent of adults in the state.

Georgia: $250 Rebate Payments
Thanks to a historic state budget surplus, Georgia residents who filed both their 2020 and 2021 tax returns were eligible to receive rebate payments based on their tax filing status:
- Single filers: Maximum $250
- Head of household: Maximum $375
If you owed income tax or other payments to the state, such as delinquent child support payments, you may have received a smaller rebate. Partial-year residents may also have received a smaller rebate.
Eligible recipients who filed their 2021 taxes by April 18 should have received their refund in August.

Another Coronavirus Stimulus Check Unlikely But These May Help
Congress approved the third stimulus check in March this year. Since then people have been waiting for more stimulus payments, but lawmakers dont seem to believe there is a need for more stimulus checks.
With the economy showing positive signs, as well as rising COVID-19 cases in some regions, whether or not there is a need for a fourth or more stimulus checks is a matter of debate. Nevertheless, in the absence of more stimulus checks, there are a few other relief programs that could help certain people to pay their bills, debts and other expenses.
One such popular program is the expanded child tax credit. This program, which will run through December, provides families with kids ages 17 and younger with a monthly CTC payment. Eligible families, who dont file taxes, have until October 4 to register for the CTC payment, with the next installment due on October 15.
There is also a program to help renters who are behind on their rent during the pandemic. The last two stimulus packages have set aside $46.6 billion to help renters. However, so far, only $7.7 billion has been used. So, there are still plenty of funds that renters can get. This money is being distributed through state and local housing programs.

Will Anything Else Change
There is a provision to help unemployed people who have a mix of income from both self-employment and wages paid by other employers. These people are often stuck with a lower state-issued benefit based on their wages.
The agreement will try to ameliorate that problem by providing an additional federal benefit of $100 weekly to individuals who have earned at least $5,000 a year in self-employment income, but are disqualified from receiving a more generous Pandemic Unemployment Assistance benefit because theyre eligible for state benefits.
Lets say a person earned most of their income through larger freelance jobs from movies, but took lower-paying jobs at restaurants in between. Such a worker would qualify for lower, state-level benefits based on the restaurant work.
This $100 weekly payment will be added to the $300 weekly federal benefit, and will also end on March 14. The benefit will begin only after your state reaches an agreement with the Labor Department.
Will Social Security And Ssi Claimants Get A Fourth Stimulus Check
A FOURTH stimulus check is unlikely to be sent out to Social Security recipients before the end of the year.
Also, the Senior Citizens League, a non-partisan advocacy group, has been calling for a one-time $1,400 stimulus check for Social Security claimants, who are among the hardest hit by higher prices.
The group sent a letter to Congress last year, stating the cost-of-living adjustment, combined with inflation, will hit hard for many older Americans who are on a fixed income.

Fourth Stimulus Check: Will There Be Another Relief Payment
— Stimulus checks have been a financial lifeline for families finding their way through COVID. The pandemic isn’t quite over, as the Delta variant has case numbers rising in many states. Still, life in the U.S. continues to settle into some sort of new normal. The surging economy isn’t affecting everyone the same way. Some people’s finances have improved, but other people’s haven’t. Unemployment remains above pre-pandemic levels, even as the number job openings rise. Many states have already discontinued the federal unemployment bonus. Meanwhile, the federal eviction moratorium ends in about a week, and millions of people are still short of food and behind on bills. The new Child Tax Credit, which started on July 15, is helping some. But more government assistance, in the form of a fourth stimulus check, might better serve those in need. Will Americans see it in 2021?
That question still hasn’t been answered definitively. There are some clues that signal where things are heading.
The third round of relief payments started back in March, courtesy of the American Rescue Plan . Since then, about 169 million people have received up to $1,400 each, accounting for most of the $422 billion set aside. The ARP checks closely followed the $600 payments from January, which came nine months after the $1,200 payments from the pandemic’s early days.

More Stimulus Checks Hitting More Central Ohio Bank Accounts
COLUMBUS, OHWith more than 150 million Americans having already received their stimulus payment, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty announced that, beginning this week, the Internal Revenue Service is sending Economic Impact Payments of up to $1,400 from the American Rescue Plan, P.L. 117-2, to tens of millions of Social Security recipients and other eligible individuals who have not yet received theirs.
Help is here, and I want to make sure all Central Ohio seniors get the money that they so desperately need and deserve, Beatty said. I was proud to help pass the American Rescue Plan and am doing everything in my power to keep my constituents informed on all the support and resources available to them through this landmark, life-changing piece of legislation.
Of note, this latest round of electronic payments applies specifically to those who receive Social Security, survivor or disability , Supplemental Security Income , and Railroad Retirement Board benefits and who did not file a 2019 or 2020 tax return or did not use the Non-Filers tool. Why Did I Get An Extra Payment From Social Security This Month
The extra payment compensates those Social Security beneficiaries who were affected by the error for any shortfall they experienced between January 2000 and July 2001, when the payments will be made. Who was affected by the mistake? The mistake affected people who were eligible for Social Security before January 2000.

Stimulus Update: Are There Any Indicators That Another Check Is Coming
Americans have been clamoring for stimulus funding for a reason this year. Since mid-2021, there has been a significant increase in living costs due to rampant inflation. Consumers have consistently had to use their savings and accrue debt through credit cards to keep afloat over the past 1.5 years, and theyre sick of it.
Unfortunately, there are currently no plans in place to distribute more stimulus cheques. In March 2021, when unemployment rates were still quite high & the economy was in peril, the last wave of stimulus spending was approved. The economy this year has been pretty unique. There have been many jobs available, and unemployment rates are low.

When Will You Get Your Money
The exact date you’ll receive your money depends on your circumstances, but the IRS has already begun sending electronic payments to millions of Americans.
The speed with which you’ll receive your payment largely depends on how you filed your taxes. The IRS can distribute electronic payments quickly, but they must print and mail paper checks for some recipients, which takes additional time.
On April 15th, the IRS launched a portal to track the status of your stimulus payment. To track your payment, you’ll need your social security number, your birthday, your address and your zip code provided you filed your 2019 or 2018 tax return. If you are a qualified non-filer, there are additional links on the IRS’s website to input your information so you can still receive your check.
On April 2, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said that eligible Americans who have signed up for direct deposit payments should receive them within two weeks, a process which is already underway. A spokesperson for the Treasury Department expects 50 million to 70 million Americans to receive their checks via direct deposit by April 15, according to The Washington Post.
However, if you didn’t sign up for direct deposit when filing your tax return and require a paper check, you might experience some delays. In fact, because the government lacks banking information for millions of Americans, $30 million in paper checks won’t begin distribution until April 24, or longer.

And its possible that could happen soon.
Some economists are fearing that the Federal Reserves action on interest rates could lead to a recession.
So far, the Fed has hiked interest rates four times this year in an effort to tame inflation.
And more hikes are likely on the way.
“Unless we see a rapid decline in the month-over-month inflation rate, well likely see the Fed raise interest rates again this year,” Laura Adams, a personal finance expert from Finder.com told The Sun in July.
“Higher interest rates make most types of credit such as credit cards, mortgages, and other business and personal loans cost more, which could lead to a recession,” she added.
As of August, the unemployment rate was sitting at 3.7% right around pre-pandemic levels but that could change.
Should the numbers tick up, this could force Biden and his Democratic to push publicly for another round of stimulus.

Stimulus Check Scams And Hoaxes
Of course, popular demand for widely distributed stimulus payments, and the confusing political maneuvering that goes into crafting stimulus bills, creates an information gap that’s easily exploited by scammers.
Even with the first wave of stimulus checks in 2020, we saw bogus email messages that pretended to be from the IRS, promising “an important update on your Covid relief fund.” But they just took you to phishing sites that wanted your Social Security number and other sensitive bits of information.
Following the second stimulus bill at the beginning of 2021, those email phishing attempts were joined by scam phone calls demanding your personal details so that you could be “cleared” to receive more stimulus checks.
In March, as President Biden’s American Rescue Plan was making its way through Congress, new phishing emails promised the moon: a $4,000 stimulus check, a boost in the minimum wage, free meals and, best of all, priority treatment that let you skip lines at COVID-19 vaccination sites.
Most recently, cruel pranksters have been passing around posts on Facebook that a fourth stimulus check worth $2,500 is coming by the end of July. Don’t believe it, and don’t believe the phishing websites that claim to register you for child-tax-credit advance payments.
In fact, most parents and legal guardians don’t need to do anything to get the payments they’ll just show up in your mailbox or bank account.
